Perhaps the mission of an artist is to interpret beauty to people -the beauty within themselves" Langston Hughes
My love for art began at a young age with my first introduction being to Faith Ringgold. Her quits told a story and opened my eyes to the endless possibilities of art. Helping youth gain exposure and access to the world of art is an important mission for me personally as well as The Society.

Ashley Belton believes each person possesses a unique passion to use different types of art to convey a message. Over the years, my passion for encouraging youth to develop their skills has increased and I enjoy helping them discover how to capture an audience for their specific talent. I hope to cultivate relationships with different artists and aspire to work with an organization that wants to partner with them to assist with exposing new patrons to their art.

Tamara Albury
Charter Member
Tamara Albury has always been an arts patron since her first Broadway play of Les Miserables, to her stint in improvisational teen theater in high school. As an educator, Ms. Albury believes that the arts is a way of expression that transcends socioeconomic status and racial ethnic boundaries and feels that it is important for students to gain an appreciation of them. Students need to appreciate the opera, ballet and theater, because it does not benefit them to be successful academically, if they are not able to relate culturally.
