The Chapter was organized by Dr. Jennifer Giddings Brooks and Marnese Barksdale Elder. Upon chartering, the leadership of this dynamic group of women is as follows: The Tarrant County Pearls Chapter, The Society, Incorporated is led by Kristin Vinson Wright (President) and Morgan Faye Mangana (Vice President). Other officers include Ronnita V. Carridine (Recording Secretary), Priscilla Bowens, DVM, MPH, Esq. (Corresponding Secretary), Glenda Murray Thompson (Financial Secretary) and Eboney Lewis McCain, Esq. (Treasurer).

Through the arts we learn to think, listen, feel, act, and to create. The Arts build self confidence, communication skills and a deep awareness of self and culture. Art is everywhere. "It is a reflective impression of our souls".

The Society, Incorporated is a non-profit national organization of women dedicated to enhancing, exposing, and promoting children in the arts for the betterment of our communities. They are bonded in friendship and service to have the children in their local communities reach their potential of expression in the visual and performing arts.

As volunteers, Society members are committed to improving their communities by recognizing and showcasing exceptional young artists. Equally significant are the initiatives organized by chapters that encourage charitable contributions to support programming. Members collaborate with national and local like minded stakeholders in their efforts to prepare youth to be successful in the Arts and in life.

The Tarrant County Pearls look forward to working with, nurturing and showcasing local artists in their efforts to support the county art venues. The members feel lucky and empowered to live in an area that is known for its western heritage, cultural districts and museums.
