A letter from the president

Through the Arts we learn to create. The Arts build self confidence, communication skills and a deep awareness of self and culture. Art is everywhere. It is a reflective impression of our souls. Welcome to the website of the Tarrant County Pearls Chapter of The Society, Incorporated.

Our chapter was chartered on Sunday, October 11th 2020. We are thankful to our visionary chapter organizers Dr. Jennifer Giddings Brooks and Mrs. Marnese Barksdale Elder. We are a local group of artistically focused ladies began a journey of enhancing, exposing and promoting youth in the Arts from underserved communities.

The Society, Incorporated is a non-profit national organization of women dedicated to enhancing, exposing, and promoting children in the arts for the betterment of our communities. They are bonded in friendship and service to have the children in their local communities reach their potential of expression in the visual and performing arts.

As volunteers, Society members are committed to improving their communities by recognizing and showcasing exceptional young artists. Equally significant are the initiatives organized by chapters that encourage charitable contributions to support programming. Members collaborate with national and local likeminded stakeholders like the Fort Worth Opera and Juneteenth Youth Art Competition in their efforts to prepare youth to be successful in the Arts and in life.

The Tarrant County Pearls look forward to working with, nurturing and showcasing local artists in their efforts to support the county art venues. We feel lucky and empowered to live in an area that is known for its western heritage, cultural districts and museums. Our members are beyond excited to partner with community members, historic art institutions and art enthusiasts to help showcase and develop compelling cultural and educational programmatic activities.
